Past Projects

University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus

Yard Chief was the successful Contractor to perform the exterior landscaping work to include; debris removal, excavation, fill, and installation of new sod.  This project required working around existing lighting, signage, walks, trees, drain field, and structure.  As the contractor, we were responsible for all costs associated with disposal fees and the project being accomplished within Federal, State, and City and Borough regulations.  The scope of the work included the removal of existing sod and material, for preparation and installation of approximately 7,000 square feet of new sod turf. Sod selection and fill material was appropriate for the local area and conditions in Southeast Alaska and approved by the University prior to the award of contract.

The scope of the project also included debris removal from an area approximately 1200 square feet located on the northwest side of the building where soil and other debris collected on top of an existing concrete slab.  All overburden was hauled off for appropriate disposal.

673rd Fss/FyFS Youth Sports Baseball Fields, JBER, Alaska

Scope of work was to remove several thousand square feet of sod from two baseball outfields and hydro-seed the infields.  All sod was cut and removed from the site.  Hydro-seed was sprayed as required.  All supervision, labor, equipment, and materials were supplied by the contractor to the complete project.

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC)

Scope of work was defined to have the contractor supply all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, materials, and insurance to clear brush and vegetation from three ANTHC locations. Task included cutting brush and vegetation to ground level, and trees 4 to 8 inches in diameter above the ground.  All debris was then raked, bagged, loaded, and disposed of at an off-site location.
